Congratulations to MLSC U12 Black Team - TCL Championship
The Miami Lakes U-12 (Black) Boys had a very successful weekend. They played in the semi-finals of the Tri-County Spring Season on Saturday, going up against an undefeated U-13 JCC10 Sport Maccabi going down 3 to 1 early in the 2nd half, the boys still had enough energy to tie the game with 2 minutes left in the game. The game went to penalty kicks, Miami Lakes winning 7 to 6. On Sunday, the boys came out and played one of their best games of the season playing in the championship game against Kendall Soccer Coalition, while the boys struggled earlier in the season losing to them twice , they came out ready to play beating them 3 to 1 clinching the championship title. This all happened under the direction of Coach Leo Estabridis.

The same team won the Early Season U12 Div 2 and was promoted to play U12 Div 1 in the Spring season. After a tough semi final win against a very good Empire Soccer Team (ML won 4-2) the team played the Milan Soccer School Team that they have played 4 times in the last 2 months. This was the 2nd final in 6 days after the team had a heartbreaking loss in Orlando on Memorial Day coming up short a goal they redeemed themselves to win this Final. What a great season boys. MLSC U12 Orange Team Disney Finalists
MLSC U12 Orange Disney Memorial Day Finalists
The MLSC U12 Orange Team began the tournament with an 8-0 win over Bay United Soccer Club Saturday and then an evening win against the Georgia TSC Elite 1-0. Sunday was another victory against Boynton Beach 5-0 that qualified the team to play on Monday (Memorial Day).
The team had a competitive match against South Kendall Soccer resulting in a 3-0 win. This victory put the team in the Finals against the Brandon Flames. It was a tough defensive match and the only goal scored in the game was a defensive miscalcualtion that allowed Brandon to put one in the back of the net. The MLSC boys scored a combined total of 17 goals and allowed 1 against them in the tournament.
We are extremely proud of them on their first trip to the Disney Memorial Day Tournament.
